dc.description.abstractHyperthermia is an abnormal increase in body temperature as part of a biological response controlled by the thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus. Fever in children serves as the body's defense mechanism against pathogens. ens. Fever often triggers excessive worry among parents. This suggests the need for proper education in fever management. This senior practice aims to increase parents' knowledge and confidence in handling hyperthermia in children through video-based education. The method used is nursing care by providing education through videos, interviews to assess the level of understanding before and after the intervention of providing nursing care with education using videos involving three parents of children with hyperthermia as participants. The results showed that before being given education, parents experienced limitations in recognizing signs of hyperthermy and appropriate initial handling steps. After the intervention, all three participants showed an increase in understanding, including the recognition of danger signs of fever and safe home treatment techniques as well as increased confidence in dealing with situations of fever in children. Providing video education is effective for increasing parents' knowledge in handling fever and increasing parents confidence in handling fever in children.en_US
