Analisis Kualitas Air dan Status Trofik Danau Lut Tawar Kabupaten Aceh Tengah Aceh

Abstract

Lut Tawar Lake is a tourist destination located in the higland of Gayo (Aceh Tengah Regency). This lake is used as the source of water for agriculture, industry, and fishery. The health levels of the aquatic ecosystem and water quality are very important environmental elements. Chemical arid physics parameters are tested to assess the water quality. Water pollution can occur and cause a change in water quality when certain substances or materials pollute the waters which can either reduce or damage the value of waters. Trophic status is a pollution level indicator for waters that can be measured from nutrients and brightness levels as well as other biological activities found in the waters. This research aims to analyze the water quality, pollution level, and trophic status of lake Lut Tawar. Samples are collected based on activities around the late by using a purposive sampling technique at 4 stations. The water quality Measurement results metode Storet of lake Lut Tawar in Aceh Tengah Regency indicate the water is polluted. The pollution of lake Lut Tawar is caused by some lake activities. Trophic status or level of lake Lut Tawar fertility falls in the category of Mesotrof based on the average value of phosphate at each observation station.
