Background: The pharmaceutical industry plays a crucial role in providing medicines that are safe, effective, and of high quality through the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Pharmacists, as key personnel, hold responsibilities in ensuring drug quality from production, quality assurance, to quality control stages.
Objective: The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) at PT Dankos Farma aims to equip pharmacy students with a comprehensive understanding of the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, while also providing practical experience in the application of GMP.
Summary: The PKPA was conducted from January 2 to February 28, 2025, at PT Dankos Farma, Jakarta. Participants were placed in the Quality System Compliance (QSC) Department, specifically in the Vendor Management section, and joined induction programs and interdepartmental training. The activities demonstrated that PT Dankos Farma has consistently applied GMP across all aspects, including quality systems, personnel, facilities, equipment, production, storage, distribution, documentation, validation, and qualification.
Conclusion: The PKPA at PT Dankos Farma confirmed that pharmacists are key personnel in the pharmaceutical industry, bearing responsibilities in production, quality control, and quality assurance. Through this program, pharmacy students gained knowledge, insights, and practical experience in implementing GMP in the pharmaceutical industry. PT Dankos Farma has successfully and continuously applied all aspects of GMP to ensure the production of medicines that are safe, effective, and of high quality.
