    Abstract
The global energy crisis and environmental issues caused by dependence on fossil fuels have encouraged the search for alternative energy sources, one of which was biomass. The fruit husk of nipah fruit (Nypa fruticans W.), which had not been optimally utilized, contained high lignocellulose content, making it a potential raw material for renewable energy through the pyrolysis process. This study aims to create and test a multiple condenser pyrolyzer system to improve the quality of liquid smoke from nipah fruit husk pyrolysis. The pyrolizer was designed with multiple condenser system, a cyclone, a distillation system, and a filtration unit, and tested at 400°C for 5 hours using 5 kg of dried nypa fruit husk. The results show an average effective capacity of 0.679 l/hour and a liquid smoke yield of 65.26%. The produced liquid smoke had a pH ranging from 3.3 to 4.2, contained no floating substances, and meets SNI 8985:2021 grade 2 quality standards. The average energy consumption during the process reached 250.687,876 kJ. The economic analysis showed a production cost of IDR 45.071,703/liter, with a BEP at 388,7 liters per year. The NPV was IDR 20.552.499,669 and the IRR was 51,05% indicating that the device was economically feasible. Overall, the results of this study prove that the multiple condenser system pyrolyzer was capable of producing cleaner and more efficient liquid smoke, and was economically viable.
