Agriculture is one of the important sectors in food supply, but intensive activities such as the use of inorganic fertilizers contribute to increased carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions. High concentrations of CO₂ in the air not only impact the environment, but also have the potential to affect the health of the surrounding community. This study was conducted to design an Internet of Things (IoT)-based CO₂ emission detection system. The research method used a quantitative approach combining experiments and surveys. The CO₂ monitoring system was tested directly in the field, while public health data was obtained through questionnaires. Statistical analysis was performed to test the relationship between CO₂ levels and reported health symptoms. The results showed that CO₂ concentrations in rice fields exceeded the normal threshold set by international institutions. The community, especially farmers, reported many respiratory complaints and other health problems. Statistical tests proved a correlation between increased CO₂ and these health complaints. The application of an IoT-based system can help monitor air quality in agricultural areas in real time, while also providing supporting data for air pollution mitigation efforts and increasing public awareness of the health impacts of CO₂ emissions.en_US
