Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Klien dengan Masalah Gangguan Kardiovaskular : Hipertensi melalui Edukasi Terapi Relaksasi Benson di Dusun XII Desa Bandar Khalipah Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition characterized by elevated blood pressure above the normal limit, which can lead to illness and even death. Hypertension treatment includes both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. One of the non-pharmacological treatments for hypertension is Benson relaxation therapy. The objective of this senior practicum was to determine the effect of Benson relaxation therapy education on reducing blood pressure in three clients suffering from cardiovascular disorders, specifically hypertension, in Dusun XII, Bandar Khalipah Village. Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict. Based on the nursing care management results, there was a notable difference in the clients' blood pressure before and after the intervention with Benson relaxation therapy education. Client I experienced a decrease in blood pressure from 167/100 mmHg to 140/90 mmHg, client 2 from 150/90 mmHg to 143/87 mmHg, and client 3 from 147/85 mmHg to 135/80 mmHg. It can be concluded that the provision of Benson relaxation therapy education is effective in lowering blood pressure in the community of Dusun XII, Bandar Khalipah Village, Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict. It is recommended to utilize non-pharmacological treatments such as Benson relaxation therapy to manage blood pressure, as it is easy to perform, cost-free, and can be practiced anytime and anywhere.
