dc.description.abstractIn the era of information that continues to develop rapidly, the need for high transmission capacity is crucial in supporting network connectivity. Radio over Fiber (RoF) offers a solution by integrating wireless and fiber optic communication systems. This research analyzes the performance of Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM)-based RoF networks with 4-PSK, 8-PSK, and 16-PSK modulation variations, using Bit Error Rate (BER) and Q-Factor parameters. Analysis were performed with OptiSystem 7.0 at distances of 50-200 km and bitrates of 3-7 Gbps. The results show 4-PSK has the best performance for long distances, with the highest Q-Factor of 37.56 (50 km) and the lowest of 7.38 (200 km). Meanwhile, 8-PSK and 16-PSK are superior for short distances, with the highest Q-Factor of 36.88 and 36.83 (50 km), but degrade faster at long distances. In terms of BER, 4-PSK has the best value of 4.14 × 10-³ (50 km) and the worst of 7.00 × 10-³ (200 km), while 16-PSK has the lowest BER of 1.75 × 10-³ at 150 km. Thus, 4-PSK is more suitable for long distances, while 8-PSK and 16-PSK are more optimal for high bitrates at short distances (<150 km) in WDM-based RoF networksen_US
