Adaptation Test of Several Peanut Varieties (Arachis hypogaea L.) Resulting from Introduction
Abstract
This study aims to determine the adaptability of several peanut varieties resulting from introduction. This study was conducted at the Research Land of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sumatera Utara University, Medan with an altitude of ± 25 meters above sea level in February 2025 to May 2025. This study used the Randomized Block Design (RAK) method with 1 treatment factor, namely Peanut Varieties (V) consisting of 9 types, namely: V1 (Rabbit), V2 (Katana 1), V3 (Tala 1), V4 (Takar 1), V5 (Takar 2), V6 (Talam 1), V7 (Talam 2), V8 (Sheep) and V9 (Sihobuk) consisting of 3 replications. Parameters observed in this study include plant height, number of leaves, flowering age, number of pods per plant, production per plant, production per plot, number of empty pods, number of pods containing 1, number of pods containing 2, number of pods containing 3, number of pods containing 4 and weight of 100 seeds. The results showed that the variety had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height 3,4 and 5 MST, number of leaves 2 to 8 MST, flowering age, number of pods per plant, production per plant, number of empty pods, number of pods containing 1,2,3,4 and weight of 100 seeds.
