Background: The pharmaceutical industry is a business entity licensed by the government to manufacture drugs and/or drug substances in accordance with prevailing regulations. To ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of medicines, every pharmaceutical industry must implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). PT. Faratu is one of the pharmaceutical industries in Indonesia that produces various pharmaceutical dosage forms. Objective: The Professional Pharmacist Internship Program (PKPA) aims to provide pharmacist candidates with knowledge and understanding of the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the implementation of GMP and activities in the Quality Control (QC) department and other related departments. Method: The internship was conducted at PT. Faratu, Bekasi, from February 3 to March 27, 2025. Activities were carried out through direct observation, induction/training, field practice in the QC department, and introduction to other departments such as Quality Assurance (QA), Production, Warehouse, and Engineering. Results: The PKPA activities provided the author with practical experience in GMP implementation, especially in quality control activities, including raw material testing, in-process control, bulk product, and finished product testing, as well as quality documentation. The author also gained insights into production flow, storage, distribution, and supporting systems applied in the pharmaceutical industry. Conclusion: Through PKPA at PT. Faratu, the author acquired knowledge, skills, and practical experience related to pharmaceutical work in the industry. Consistent application of GMP principles is essential to ensure drug quality, and this experience is expected to serve as a strong foundation for pharmacist candidates to actively contribute in the pharmaceutical industry.en_US
