Background: Hospitals are healthcare facilities that are required to provide pharmaceutical services in accordance with the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 72 of 2016. Hospital pharmacy services include the management of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumable medical supplies, as well as clinical pharmacy services to ensure quality, safety, efficacy, and the rational use of medicines. Pharmacists play a strategic role in ensuring the availability of medicines, providing accurate information, and supporting the success of patient therapy. Objective: Professional Pharmacist Internship at Gatot Soebroto Central Army Hospital aims to provide pharmacy students with direct experience in understanding the roles and responsibilities of hospital pharmacists, as well as the implementation of hospital pharmacy service standards. Summary: PKPA activities include the management of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumable medical supplies (selection, planning, procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, disposal, recall, control, and administration), as well as clinical pharmacy services (prescription assessment and dispensing, medication history review, medication reconciliation, drug information services, patient counseling, ward rounds, therapeutic drug monitoring, adverse drug reaction monitoring, sterile preparation dispensing, and therapeutic drug level monitoring) in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Conclusion: PKPA at Gatot Soebroto Central Army Hospital provided comprehensive insight into the implementation of hospital pharmacy service standards in accordance with the Ministry of Health Regulation No. 72 of 2016. Pharmacists play a vital role in managing pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumable medical supplies, as well as delivering clinical pharmacy services, thereby contributing directly to improving the quality of hospital healthcare services.
