dc.description.abstract | This study is aimed to synthesize and characterize activated carbon-based supercapacitor electrode materials from empty palm bunches (TKKS) doped with NiCoMnO₂ using the hydrothermal method. The synthesis process involved carbon activation with 6M KOH solution, NiCoMnO₂ synthesis with 4M NaOH precipitant, then mixing with activated carbon to produce KA/NiCoMnO₂. Characterization was carried out by SEM, XRD, FTIR, and GCD. SEM results showed an irregular porous morphology with a particle size of 90nm-150 nm which supports ion diffusion. The XRD pattern showed the crystalline phase of NiCoMnO₂ with sharp peaks and Miller index (311) indicating a good crystal structure and obtaining a degree of crystallinity of 79.19%. FTIR graps confirmed the -OH, Ni-O, and Co-O groups at wave numbers 1312.0 cm-¹, 723.1 cm-¹, and 857.3 cm-¹. GCD characterization showed power density of 329.97 W/kg, energy density of 3.00 Wh/kg, and specific capacitance of 49.59 F/g. KA/NiCoMnO₂ material from TKKS has the potential as an efficient and sustainable supercapacitor electrode. | en_US |
