Pengelolaan Pelayanan dan Asuhan Keperawatan Sehat Jiwa: Kesiapan Peningkatan Proses Keluarga Melalui Strategi Pengasuhan Efektif Pada Anak di Desa Marindal II Kecamatan Patumbak Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Mental health can be defined as a condition where individuals feel healthy not only physically but also mentally and are able to cope with the pressures that exist in their environment. Mental health is an important aspect of overall health and well-being, especially during adolescence. Parenting plays an important role in shaping the mental health of children and adolescents. Effective parenting can have an impact on children's behavior and psychological well-being. This senior practical report aims to provide nursing care to families with adolescents with mental health nursing diagnoses, namely readiness to improve self-concept in adolescents and readiness to improve family processes. The implementation of this senior practice began June 11, 2025 involving 3 adolescents in Marindal II Village. Data collection was carried out using the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI) questionnaire to assess parental parenting according to children's perceptions. The results obtained showed that as many as 3 respondents were in the affectionless control category. Based on these results, nursing care was carried out for 3 days to improve family process readiness. Recommendations are addressed to parents to further implement effective parenting, such as open communication and providing emotional support, to prevent the negative impact of unsupportive parenting.
