Background: The pharmaceutical industry is a business entity that is licensed in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations to carry out activities related to the manufacture of pharmaceutical preparations. The main role of this industry is to produce medicines that must meet the requirements of efficacy, safety, and quality in doses used for health purposes. To ensure the quality of pharmaceutical products, the Indonesian government, through the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), has established standards for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Pharmacists must have adequate knowledge, skills, and abilities, and be able to apply and develop their knowledge professionally. Objective: The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) at PT. Abbott Indonesia is carried out with the aim of enabling students to understand the role and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as to gain direct experience in the application of CPOB, quality assurance, quality control, production, and other support systems. Summary: PKPA activities at PT. Abbott Indonesia are placed in the Technical Service department in the field of Packaging. Understanding of other departments in the industry is done through presentations held in a meeting room together, commonly referred to as induction activities for personnel from outside the industry. The student's activities during the PKPA included primary and secondary packaging, artwork development, and conducting trials or validating the packaging process. Conclusion: PKPA at PT. Abbott Indonesia Cimanggis provides a comprehensive understanding of the application of CPOB in the pharmaceutical industry, while strengthening the competence of prospective pharmacists in technical, managerial, and regulatory aspects. The experience from PT. Abbott is expected to improve the readiness of students to contribute as professional pharmaceutical personnel who are oriented towards quality and patient safety.en_US
