| dc.description.abstract | Background: The pharmaceutical industry plays a strategic role in providing medicines that are safe, effective, and of high quality. To ensure product quality, the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), known in Indonesia as Cara Pembuatan Obat yang Baik (CPOB), is essential. Pharmacists, as professionals, are responsible for ensuring that these standards are consistently applied. Therefore, practical experience through the Pharmacist Professional Practice (PKPA) program is crucial for prospective pharmacists. Objective: The PKPA at PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk. aims to enhance the understanding of prospective pharmacists regarding the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the implementation of CPOB in production and quality control processes. Method: The program was conducted from January 13 to February 28, 2025, through direct observation, discussions, and participation in pharmaceutical activities related to the application of CPOB. Conclusion: The PKPA provided deeper insights into pharmaceutical practices in the industry, particularly concerning the implementation of CPOB. This activity also offered a real illustration of the pharmacist’s role in ensuring drug quality at PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk., thereby contributing to the development of competencies of prospective pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry. | en_US |
