Abstract

Background: The pharmaceutical industry is responsible for producing safe, effective, and high-quality medicines through the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Pharmacists, as key personnel, play essential roles in production, quality assurance, and quality control, requiring comprehensive competence. Objective: The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) at PT. Kalventis Sinergi Farma aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the pharmacist’s roles, functions, and responsibilities in the pharmaceutical industry, while equipping students with practical experience. Method: The program was conducted through direct observation, active involvement in production processes, and learning about quality systems as well as the implementation of GMP principles in each manufacturing stage. Conclusion: The PKPA at PT. Kalventis provided comprehensive insights into the pharmacist’s role, enhanced technical and managerial skills, and strengthened the readiness of future pharmacists to contribute professionally in the pharmaceutical industry.
