Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan Keluarga dengan Hipertensi di Lingkungan VIII Kelurahan Pangkalan Masyhur

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg. Hypertension is the leading cause of death worldwide. The purpose of this senior practice is to apply nursing knowledge and knowledge comprehensively and scientifically in solving nursing problems through providing nursing care to families with hypertension in the VIII neighbourhood of Pangkalan Mahsyur Village. Nursing care was carried out from 26 May 2025 - 26 June 2025 in families with hypertension. Data were collected using family nursing care assessment format instruments, interviews, observations, physical examinations and documentation studies through implementation by providing health education about hypertension, health education about the DASH diet, deep breath relaxation therapy and music therapy and hypertension exercises. Data were analysed by comparing the results of nursing care based on previous theory. The results of nursing care in this senior practice are that families are able to recognise health problems related to hypertension, make decisions in caring for families with hypertension, carry out family care with hypertension, modify the environment for families with hypertension and utilise health facilities. It is recommended for families to be consistent in maintaining a healthy diet and doing hypertension exercises.
