Manajemen Nyeri Pascaoperasi pada Pasien dengan Fraktur Ekstremitas Bawah di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Haji Adam Malik Medan
Postoperative Pain Management in Patients with Lower Extremity Fractures at Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital Medan
Abstract
Lower limb fractures are a common condition resulting from trauma and require
comprehensive treatment, including surgical intervention. One modern approach
used to accelerate patient recovery after surgery is Enhanced Recovery After
Surgery (ERAS). This approach integrates various evidence-based interventions
aimed at reducing postoperative pain, accelerating healing, and improving
patients' quality of life. Postoperative pain is a major challenge in fracture
management and a major focus in nursing care. This study aims to describe the
management of nursing care for preoperative fracture patients with a focus on
pain management in the RB3 room of H. Adam Malik Hospital Medan. The
method used is a case study with a nursing process approach including
assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The
results of the implementation showed that the interventions provided were
effective in helping to reduce pain complaints, accelerate physical recovery, and
increase patient and family involvement in the healing process. The application of
guided imagery techniques significantly provides comfort and helps reduce pain
intensity. The conclusion of this report is that nursing care with a multimodal
approach in patients with lower limb fractures has a positive impact on patient
recovery, especially in managing pain effectively and holistically.
