| dc.description.abstract | Background: A Pharmaceutical Wholesaler (PBF) is a legal entity licensed to procure, store, and distribute pharmaceutical preparations in large quantities in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations. PBFs are one of the most important units in the distribution of pharmaceutical preparations to health care facilities, such as pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, community health centers, clinics, and licensed drug stores. Objective: The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) at PBF PT. Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk. Medan aims to enhance the knowledge and understanding of prospective pharmacists regarding the roles, functions, and responsibilities of pharmacists in PBF, as well as to compare the implementation of pharmaceutical work with applicable regulations. Method: The PKPA was conducted from October 1–28, 2024, through direct observation of pharmaceutical activities, study of strategies and professional development practices of pharmacists at PBF, understanding the application of pharmaceutical inventory management aspects at PBF, and discussions with the pharmacist in charge. Result: The management of drug distribution, including procurement, receipt, and distribution of drugs at PBF PT. Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk. Medan, has been carried out properly and in accordance with the principles of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and applicable laws and regulations. Conclusion: The PKPA at PBF PT. Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk. Medan provides a comprehensive overview of the pharmacist’s role as a PBF manager in the operational system. This activity strengthens the competence of prospective pharmacists in delivering quality pharmaceutical services in compliance with applicable regulations. | en_US |
