The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) in the pharmaceutical industry
aims to provide direct experience for pharmacy graduates in understanding
production processes, quality control, and the implementation of GMP (Good
Manufacturing Practices) and CPOB (Cara Pembuatan Obat yang Baik). This
PKPA was conducted at PT Dankos Farma in the non-betalactam solid dosage
production department. Activities included the application of GMP/CPOB, In
Process Control (IPC), Critical Process Parameters (CPP), Critical Quality
Attributes (CQA), and involvement in process improvement initiatives. During the
program, the author participated in downtime analysis of tablet press machines and
proposed preventive maintenance, resulting in a reduction of downtime by
approximately 20%. In addition, support was provided for Total Productive
Maintenance (TPM) on stripping machines, which improved packaging efficiency
by 15%. The outcomes of this PKPA highlight the crucial role of pharmacists in
ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency within pharmaceutical
manufacturing processes.
