This study aims to analyze the influence of economic factors, namely land area, fertilizer costs, and labor, on the income of smallholder oil palm farmers in Kecamatan Sei Torop, Kecamatan Bosar Maligas , Kabupaten Simalungun. The study is motivated by the importance of the oil palm plantation sector as the main source of income for the village community, as well as the fluctuations in production costs that can affect farmers' welfare. The research method used is a form of the entire population of oil palm farmers under the local cooperative, with primary data collected through observation and interviews, by using questioning list prepared before sources. Data analysis was conducted by using multiple linear regression with classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation tests. The results show that partially, fertilizer costs have a positive and significant effect on the income of smallholder oil palm farmers, while land area and labor tend to have a negative effect. Simultaneously, the three of independent variables significantly influence the income of smallholder oil palm farmers. These findings imply that efficiency in land and labor use, as well as optimization of fertilizer use, are so very important in increasing the income of smallholder oil palm farmers in the study area. | en_US |
