| dc.description.abstract | Background: A Pharmaceutical Wholesaler (PBF) is a legally established
company authorized to procure, store, and distribute medicines and medicinal
ingredients in large quantities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations,
applying Good Distribution Practices (CDOB). PBF play a role in the national
health system by ensuring the availability of quality medicines and medical devices
in various health facilities, including pharmacies and hospitals. Pharmacists in
charge at PBF must be able to carry out pharmaceutical inventory management
activities, from procurement and storage to distribution.
Objective: To increase prospective pharmacists' knowledge of pharmaceutical
inventory management or distribution and to improve their understanding of Good
Distribution Practices (CDOB) and their application in Pharmaceutical
Wholesalers.
Summary: Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) activities at PBF
include understanding the functions and duties of PBF as a pharmaceutical
distributor, understanding the role of pharmacists as persons in charge at PBF in
accordance with the principles of Good Distribution Practices (CDOB),
understanding the role of pharmacists in managing pharmaceutical preparations and
medical devices, starting from selection, planning, procurement, receipt, storage,
distribution, withdrawal and destruction, control, and administration at the PBF.
Conclusion: Pharmacists in charge play an important role in ensuring the quality
and quality of drugs in the implementation of procurement, receipt, storage, and
distribution in accordance with the guidelines of Good Distribution Practices
