Efikasi Herbisida Clomazone terhadap Gulma Umum Padi Sawah (Oryza sativa L)
Efficacy of Clomazone Herbicide Against Common Weeds of Rice Paddy (Oryza sativa L)
Abstract
Weeds are one of the plant disturbing organisms (pest) that inhibit plant growth, development and productivity. Weed control is an attempt to change the ecological balance that aims to suppress weed growth, but does not negatively affect cultivated plants. Common weed control techniques in paddy rice are manual and chemical control. This study aims to determine the efficacy of several doses of Clomazone herbicide on the control of common weeds of paddy rice (Oryza sativa L).This research was conducted in Pematamg Sijonam Village, Perbaungan Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra Province with an altitude of ± 15.2 masl which was carried out from June 2024 to September 2024. This study consisted of 6 treatments namely Control (no treatment), Manual weeding, Clomazone 360 g b.a. ha, Clomazone 480 g b.a. ha, Clomazone 600 g b.a. ha, Clomazone 720 g b.a. ha, each treatment was made 4 replicates and designed in a Non Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The results showed that the application of clomazone herbicide had no significant effect on weed control (herbicide efficacy) compared to the control (no treatment). The application of clomazone herbicide had no significant effect on the level of plant damage, plant height, number of plants, dry grain weight compared to the same parameters in the control (no treatment) and manual weeding.
