Management of Nursing Care for Clients with Hypertension Through Education on the Application of Warm Compresses and Hypertension Diet In Neighborhood XII, Gedung Johor Village
Abstract
Hypertension is defined as a condition of systolic blood pressure greater than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure greater than 90 mmHg based on two or more blood pressure measurements. Diabetes mellitus treatment can be done pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically. The purpose of this senior practice is to implement nursing theories and concepts, namely giving warm compresses and education regarding hypertension diet to clients with hypertension. Care began on June 10-16, 2025 to 1 managed patient suffering from hypertension in Lingkunhan XII Kelurahan Gedung Johor by conducting education about hypertension, hypertension diet education and non- pharmacological pain management, namely warm compresses for complaints of pain in the nape or back of the client's head. The results obtained after nursing care, the client responded very well and enthusiastically when given education about the hypertension diet and warm compresses. Clients understand about the salt diet for hypertensive patients and understand how to do warm compresses and their benefits, clients are able and can perform warm compress techniques independently
