Abstract

The pharmaceutical industry is an industrial sector engaged in research, development, production and distribution of medicines and other health products used for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in humans. The Industrial Pharmacy Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) was held at PT Kimia Farma Sungwun on January 6 - February 28, 2025 to understand the role of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry and provide supplies, skills, and expertise to prospective pharmacists by directly observing the role of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry and so that prospective pharmacists are able to understand the problems in the industry and are able to practice professionally in accordance with good drug manufacturing practices. Good drug manufacturing is based on strict regulations in accordance with GMP. After the product has been produced, quality control carries out a series of tests in accordance with the requirements of the reference, then quality assurance can guarantee that the product produced is safe and effective for patients.
