| dc.description.abstract | Background: Professional Pharmacist Work Practice (PKPA) in the
pharmaceutical industry is part of the Professional Pharmacist Education Study
Program (PSPPA) to prepare prospective professional pharmacists to understand
their roles, functions, and responsibilities firsthand. PT Prima Medika Laboratories
Tangerang was chosen as the venue because of its comprehensive implementation
of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the pharmaceutical industry.
Objective: Preparing prospective pharmacists to understand the role, function, and
responsibilities, as well as the skills of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry
in accordance with Good Manufacturing Product (GMP) guidelines so that the
quality of medicines is maintained.
Methods: The PKPA will be held from May 5 to June 28, 2025, with placement in
the Quality Assurance department of the In Process Control (QA IPC) division and
induction in several other departments, including production, Quality Control (QC),
Warehouse, and Engineering.
Result: Students gain an understanding of the pharmaceutical industry's quality
system, personnel management, production facilities, and distribution mechanisms
that comply with CPOB standards. This activity also provides practical experience
in documentation, validation, and quality risk management.
Conclusion: PT. Prima Medika Laboratories has successfully implemented CPOB
aspects in every aspect and process. PKPA at PT. Prima Medika Laboratories has
