Abstract
Preeclampsia is hypertension after 20 weeks of pregnancy with blood pressure ≥
140/90 mmHg measured twice with a 4-hour interval accompanied by proteinuria
exceeding 300 mg in urine for 24 hours. The exact cause of preeclampsia is
unknown. However, in patients who died from this condition, typical changes were
found in various organs of the body, disorders that usually accompany preeclampsia
include arteriole spasms, sodium and water retention, and blood clot formation in
blood vessels (intravascular coagulation). Treatment of preeclampsia is adjusted to
the severity of mild preeclampsia, supportive therapy is carried out until delivery,
such as bed rest and fetal heart rate monitoring. Meanwhile, in severe
preeclampsia, antihypertensives such as calcium channel blockers and magnesium
sulfate are given to prevent seizures. This senior practicum report uses a case study
design. The subject used was a pregnant woman at risk of preeclampsia in
Environment VI, Gedung Johor Village. Data analysis was carried out descriptively
analytically. The results of the application were that pregnant women better
understand the risk of preeclampsia. The conclusion of this report is that by
providing education and family involvement, it can be used in early detection of
