High workload and work-related stress can lead to both physical and mental strain on nurses. This condition contributes to an increased intention among nurses to leave their jobs (turnover intention). This study aims to examine the relationship between workload and work stress with turnover intention among nurses at Mitra Medika Amplas General Hospital. This research applied a descriptive-analytic design and was conducted at Mitra Medika Amplas General Hospital between January and April 2025. The population consisted of all inpatient nurses, with a sample of 73 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation test and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the Pearson correlation test indicated a significant relationship between workload and turnover intention among nurses at Mitra Medika Amplas General Hospital, with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. Similarly, a significant relationship was found between work stress and turnover intention, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis revealed that the most influential indicator on nurses’ turnover intention was problems with patients (β = 0.246).en_US
