| dc.description.abstract | In several citis in Indonesia, street vendors often become a complex
problem. According to regional regulation no 3 of 2014 concerning the arrangement
and empowerment of street vendors, what is meant by street vendors hereinafter
referred to as street vendors are business actors who carry out trading activities
using movable business facilities, using city infrastructure, social facilities, public
facilities, land and buildings owned by the government and private sector which are
temporary or non-permanent. The aim of this study is to describe and analyze the
strategies used by street vendors to increase income for family welfare on Gatot
Subroto Street, Medan Petisah District, Medan City. The method used in this
research is a qualitative method which is descriptive in nature using the theory
(Sumiyanto, 2002) is a street vendors strategy to increase income for family
welfare. Data collection techniques in research are by using observation, interview,
documentation and literature study techniques. In this study it can be seen that the
strategies of street vendors in increasing income for family welfare are product
development strategies, integration strategies, market penetration strategies, market
development strategies and diversification. In this the role of the government and
Satpol PP is needed to regulate street vendors who use the roads and sidewalk to
sell which can cause discomfort to pedestrians and other road users. | en_US |
