dc.description.abstractBackground: The pharmaceutical industry is a business entity that has a license from the government to carry out activities related to the manufacture of drugs or drug ingredients in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations. In order to guarantee the quality, safety, and efficacy of drugs, the pharmaceutical industry is required to implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Objective: The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) aims to improve prospective pharmacists' understanding of the role, function, position, and responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry; to equip prospective pharmacists with the insight, knowledge, skills, and practical experience to perform pharmaceutical work in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the application of GMP and activities in the Production department and other related departments. Method: The Pharmacist Professional Work Practice (PKPA) will be held from March 3 to April 30, 2025, at PT. Dankos Farma Tbk, located in the Pulogadung Industrial Area, JL. Rawagatel No. Kav. 35-40 Blok III-S, RT.10/RW.9, Jatinegara, Kec. Cakung, East Jakarta City for 5 days a week with 8 working hours from 07.00 to 15.30 WIB. Results: Activities carried out at Dankos Farma are based on Food and Drug Administration Regulation No.7 of 2024 concerning Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). GMP aims to ensure that drugs are produced consistently, meet established standards, and are suitable for their intended use. The GMP guidelines cover various aspects that affect drug quality during the production process. Conclusion: The PKPA at Dankos Farma equips prospective pharmacists with knowledge, skills, and real-world experience regarding pharmaceutical work in the industry. Proper implementation can guarantee drug quality, and this experience is expected to serve as a foundation for prospective pharmacists to play an active role in the pharmaceutical industry.en_US
