This thesis analyzes the theme of acceptance in the stages of grief experienced by the main character in the movie Clouds (2020). The primary focus of this study is on acceptance as the emotional and thematic core of the narrative. The theory used in this thesis is Robert Stanton's structural theory and Stages of Grief by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. To conduct the required data, the author uses a descriptive qualitative research method by applying a documentary approach to collect scenes and dialogues from the movie. The data collection was carried out through observation of the film, transcription of dialogues, and documentation of significant scenes. The data analysis process follows the model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2020), which includes data collection, condensation, display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings in this thesis are that Accepting grief transforms it into power to inspire is the main idea of the movie Clouds. The researcher also found the five stages of grief experienced by Zach Sobiech.
