Equitable and efficient distribution of nursing personnel remains a global challenge in healthcare systems. Fair allocation of nurses according to workload and educational qualifications is essential to ensure the quality of nursing care in hospitals. This study employed a descriptive quantitative cross-sectional design involving 166 clinical nurses in the Integrated Inpatient Wards (RINDU A and B). Accidental sampling was used to assess the management of nursing staff distribution based on workload and educational background. The instrument used was a questionnaire analyzed through Spearman correlation testing. The results indicated that most clinical nurses perceived the current nursing staff distribution to be misaligned with workload demands, with disparities noted across different shifts. It is recommended that hospital management conduct regular evaluations of staff distribution, taking into account workload requirements and educational background. Policies should also be developed to support unit-based placement and training aligned with actual needs. Additionally, head nurses are expected to perform regular workload assessments, prepare work schedules based on qualifications and competencies, and place nurses accordingly to meet unit requirements.en_US
