    Abstract
    Pregnancy is an important phase in a woman's life, where physical and emotional changes occur, and Sectio Caesarea surgery becomes a necessary option to ensure the safety of mother and baby. Many pregnant women begin to feel anxious before undergoing Sectio Caesarea surgery. Anxiety arises since getting information that the process of labor cannot be done normally. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of nursing care in patients with preoperative sectio caesarea anxiety problems at Prof. Dr. Chairudin P. Lubis Hospital. This study was conducted on first-time pregnant women and given thought stopping therapy by implementing three therapy sessions starting with assessment, analysis of nursing diagnoses, nursing plans, nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. The result of this study is that the therapy carried out into three stages greatly affects the client's anxiety where the client's anxiety in facing preoperative sectio caesarea slowly decreases with the implementation of thought stopping therapy. In the application of thought stopping therapy the client does it cooperatively with the first session the client is still unfamiliar but is able to recognize or identify his anxiety and in the second session the client feels the therapy provided gradually begins to reduce his anxiety, then in the third session the client looks more cooperative and gets used to doing therapy and looks calmer client to overcome his anxiety. The client feels satisfied with the therapeutic actions he has taken because he can identify and decide on the mindset that causes anxiety in the client.
