    Abstract
Ecotourism as a form of tourism that is responsible for environmental sustainability and the welfare of local communities, as well as one of the regional development strategies that has a positive impact economically, socially, and environmentally on the local community so that in realizing community welfare can be done one of them with ecotourism. This ecotourism is expected to have an impact on the welfare of the community around Simangulampe Village. This study aims to identify and map tourist attractions and tourism activities in Simangulampe Village and to determine the positive and negative impacts of ecotourism aspects on the welfare of local communities. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis for the first objective and multiple linear regression analysis with the stepwise method for the second objective through the SPSS 24.0 application. The results of the study show that there are 6 tourist attractions namely Aek Sipangolu, Topi Ni Tao Toba by CHADS, and Aek Sigaol-Gaol, Sitakke Island, Sigeduk Hill, and Sarcofagus. The best regression model equation is: Y = 5.369 + 1.120 (X1) + 0.934 (X2) – 0.359 (X6) which means that increasing Tourist Attractions (X1) and Environmental Conservation (X2) have an influence on Community Welfare (Y), while increasing Accessibility (X6) actually reduces welfare due to less supportive accessibility conditions. Overall, a positive impact was found on the variables of Tourist Attractions (X1) and Environmental Conservation (X2), while a negative impact was found on the variables of Cultural Factors (X3), Community Participation (X4), Service Quality (X5), and Accessibility (X6).
