Pra-rancangan Pabrik Pembuatan Pupuk ZA (Zwavelzuur Ammonium) dengan Menggunakan Proses Merseburg Kapasitas 100.000 Ton/Tahun
Pre-design of ZA (Zwavelzuur Ammonium) Fertilizer Production Factory Using the Merseburg Process with a Capacity of 100.000 Tons/Year
Abstract
ZA fertilizer contains NH4+ ions, which are essential for plant growth in
Indonesia, a predominantly agricultural country. ZA fertilizer is also an inorganic
herbicide that can kill weeds (invasive plants). This fertilizer contains less nitrogen,
increasing the cost per applied nitrogen mass in agricultural operations, but
provides the advantage of incorporating another key nutrient, sulfur.
The proposed ZA (Zwavelzuur Ammonium) fertilizer manufacturing plant
uses the Merseburg process with a capacity of 100,000 tons/year and operates 330
days a year. The plant is planned to be located on Jalan Tambak Osowilangun,
Benowo District, Surabaya City, East Java, Indonesia. The proposed ZA fertilizer
plant design utilizes the Merseburg process to apply chemical engineering
knowledge, including mass balances, energy balances, equipment specifications,
and operational requirements.
The results of the economic evaluation of the ZA fertilizer manufacturing
plant using the Merseburg process can be seen as follows:
Total capital investment : Rp 4.766.052.231.365
Production cost : Rp 2.351.746.330.506
Sales revenue : Rp 3.946.613.763.501
Net profit : Rp 985.541.114.829
Profit margin : 37,340%
Break even point : 54,717%
Return on investment : 20,064%
Pay out time : 4 Tahun 9 bulan
Return on network : 33%
Internal rate of return : 30,062%
From the results of the economic aspect analysis, it can be concluded that
the ZA fertilizer factory with a Merseburg process capacity of 100,000 tons/year is
feasible to be established.
