Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence labor force decisions to work in the non-agricultural sector. This study is associative in nature, aiming to examine the relationship between two or more variables income level, education level, age, and land ownership and labor force decisions to work in the non- agricultural sector. This study uses a quantitative approach, which is a research method that uses numbers in data presentation with non-parametric analysis. The data collection technique used in this study is interviews. The population in this study is the workforce in Sembahe Baru Village, located in Pancur Batu Subdistrict. The sample size was 50 respondents, obtained using the Slovin formula. The results of the non-parametric analysis explain the factors that are interrelated with labor force decisions to work in the non-agricultural sector, including income, education, age, and land ownership variables.
