| dc.description.abstract | Paper paper entitled “The Description of Marriage in Karonese Culture” Explains briefly about detail the description of mariage in Karonese culture. Marriages in Karonese is divided into two parts based on the nearby far a relationship of family, there are several types of marriage of pertuturken, marriage of erdemu bayu, marriage of merkat senuan, marriage of merkat la arus, and marriages based on the status of the parties who perform marriages among them, marriage of ciken (lakon man), marriage of mindo nakan, marriage of mindo cina, marriage of iyaken. As for the terms of kinship used in marriage Sukut, Kalimbubu, puang kalimbubu, Impal, Senina, Turang, Anak beru, Anak beru menteri. The author also will explain the stages in the marriage customs of Karonese. The method used is the qualitative research in library methods follow with collecting data by reading relevant books to assist in completing and also to supplement the data related to the problems discussed.
