Persepsi Pemustaka Terhadap Sarana dan Prasarana di Perpustakaan Universitas Muslim Nusantara (UMN) Al Washliyah Medan

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the Library Users’ Perceptions of Facilities and Infrastructure at the Library of University of Muslim Nusantara (UMN) Al Washliyah Medan as reviewed from the National Library Standard Number 13 of 2017 concerning the National Standard of Academic Library which includes library facilities, library location, library building, and library room. This research used a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were questionnaire, observation, and literature study. The research population was all active undergraduate students (S-1) at the University of Muslim Nusantara (UMN) Al Washliyah Medan with a total of 7.769 students and the sample determined was 100 students based on the Slovin formula. The interval scale formula was used for data processing and the data analysis technique used Likert scale. The research results regarding library users’ perceptions showed that the average score of library facilities was 2.44 (less good). The average score of library location was 2.83 (good). The average score of library building was 2.41 (less good). The average score of library room was 2.59 (good). It can be concluded that the average score of library users’ perceptions of facilities and infrastructure at the UMN library is 2.56 (good).
