Pengaruh Curah Hujan dan Hari Hujan Terhadap Produksi Kelapa Sawit Berumur 20 Tahun pada Tanah Salin di Desa Paluh Merbau Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang
The Effect of Rainfall and Rainy Days on the Production of 20-Year-Old Oil Palm on Saline Soil in Paluh Merbau Village Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang
Abstract
Some of the factors that can encourage oil palm productivity are climate, soil, and plant age. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of climatic elements Rainfall and Rainy Days on the production of 20 year old oil palm on saline soil in Paluh Merbau Village Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra Province, 3°43’13.6”N 98°44’28.5”E. starting from September 2024 to December 2024. Data collection methods through field surveys and secondary data collection through Indonesian Agency for Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics. The data taken includes rainfall and rainy day data and oil palm production from 2021-2024. The analytical methods used are multiple linear regression analysis and correlation analysis and the model’s suitability is tested using classic assumption tests including the normality tests, the heteroscedasticity tests, the multicollinearity tests, and the autocorrelation tests by using the SPSS.v.22 for Windows statistical tools. The regression analysis showed that the variables of rainfall and rainy days had no significant influence at 5% alpha (Sig > α 0.05) on the increase in oil palm production aged 20 years. The result of F Value is 2.457 with a significance value of 0.141. The coefficient of determination (R2) obtained is 35.3% which means that oil palm production can be explained by the variables used. With a corrected coefficient of 64.7% can be explained by variables that are not included in the model. The regression analysis equation model in this study is Ŷ = 20.875 – 0.007 (rainfall) – 0.079 (rainy days) + ɛ. The correlation of rainfall and rainy days on oil palm plants for 3 years (2021-2024) has a rather weak relationship with a correlation value of - 0.582 and - 0.556 respectively with a significance value of 0.047 and 0.061 (Sig > α 0.01).
