    Abstract
    Water is a vital resource in daily life, whether for household, industrial, or agricultural needs. In practice, water tank filling systems that are still operated manually often lead to water wastage, pump damage due to empty tanks or overpressure, and inefficiencies in terms of time and labor. Therefore, a smart and efficient solution is needed to manage water tank filling automatically. The development of microcontroller and Internet of Things (IoT) technology provides great opportunities to automate water filling systems. The ESP32 microcontroller is one such device that supports IoT technology, as it comes equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and offers sufficient processing capabilities with low power consumption. By integrating ultrasonic sensors, relays, and internet connectivity through the ESP32, the system can monitor the water level in the tank in real-time and control the water pump automatically. This system also allows users to monitor the tank condition and manage the filling process remotely through a web-based platform or mobile application anytime and anywhere. The implementation of an IoT-based automatic water tank filling system not only enhances water usage efficiency and effectiveness but also supports more sustainable and environmentally friendly resource management. Therefore, research and development of this system are crucial to address the increasing complexity of water demand in today’s world.
