    Abstract
Background: Tubal sterilization is an effective permanent contraceptive method, yet concerns remain regarding its potential impact on ovarian reserve and female sexual function. Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) serves as a biomarker for ovarian reserve, while the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) assesses female sexual function. This study aimed to compare AMH levels and FSFI scores before and after laparoscopic tubal sterilization using the Yoon Ring method. Methods: This was a prospective observational analytic study with a cohort design. The subjects were 31 women undergoing laparoscopic Yoon Ring tubal sterilization at RSUD Pandan, North Sumatra. AMH levels and FSFI scores were measured before and three months after the procedure. Ovarian reserve was evaluated through laboratory testing (AMH) and transvaginal ultrasonography (antral follicle count and ovarian volume). Statistical analyses included paired t-tests, Wilcoxon tests, and Spearman correlations. Results: There were no significant differences in AMH levels (p=0.860) or FSFI scores (p=0.601) before and after sterilization. Antral follicle count and ovarian volume also showed no significant changes. A significant positive correlation was found between AMH levels and antral follicle count post-sterilization (r=0.448; p=0.012). Conclusion: Laparoscopic tubal sterilization using the Yoon Ring method does not significantly affect ovarian reserve or female sexual function. These findings support the safety of this procedure as a permanent contraceptive method. Keywords: Tubal sterilization, Yoon Ring, AMH, FSFI, ovarian reserve, female sexual function
