dc.description.abstractThe use of cement replacement materials in the construction industry has become an increasingly important topic in efforts to reduce carbon emissions and support sustainable development. Corn Cob Ash (CCA) and Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) are two waste materials with high potential as cement additives due to their high active chemical content. This study aims to evaluate the performance of high-strength self-compacting concrete (SCC) incorporating 5% CCA and varying proportions of GGBFS ranging from 0% to 50% as partial replacement of Portland cement. The evaluation was conducted on fresh concrete properties, including slump flow, T50, V-funnel, and L-box tests. Compressive strength testing was carried out at 28 days to assess the mechanical performance of the hardened concrete. Material characterization was performed using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) to determine chemical composition and a Particle Size Analyzer (PSA) to analyze particle size distribution. The results indicate that the combination of CCA and GGBFS improves concrete performance, both in terms of workability and compressive strength, particularly at the composition of 5% CCA and 30% GGBFS. This research supports the utilization of industrial and agricultural waste as an innovative solution for producing environmentally friendly concrete.en_US
