This study aims to examine the negative relationship between growth mindset and social media addiction among adolescents. Although social media is widely used across different age groups, late adolescents are particularly sensitive to its influence because they are in the stage of identity exploration. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected using psychological scales constructed based on the Likert model. A total of 337 adolescents aged 15-18 years participated in the study (M = 16.04, SD = 0.705), with 44.2% being male and 55.8% female. Growth Mindset was measured using the Growth Mindset Scale adapted into Indonesian by Aida Rahmania et al. (2022). Social Media Addiction was measured using the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale adapted into Indonesian by Tessalonika Napitupulu and Rahmi Putri Rangkuti (2023). The data were analyzed using Pearson’s Correlations. The findings indicate that there is no significant relationship between growth mindset and social media addiction among late adolescents (r = -0.044, p = 0.416).
