dc.description.abstractCurly red chili (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of the horticultural commodities that has high economic value, but its productivity is often disturbed by the decline in soil fertility due to the continuous use of inorganic fertilizers. This study aims to identify the effect of humic acid and fulvic acid on the growth and production of curly red chili plants. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra at an altitude of 25 meters above sea level (masl), began from January to June 2025. This study used a non-factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 5 treatments: T1 (100% humic acid), T2 (100% fulvic acid), T3 (25% humic acid + 75% fulvic acid), T4 (50% humic acid + 50% fulvic acid), and T5 (75% humic acid + 25% fulvic acid), replicated four (4) times. The results showed that the application of humic acid or fulvic acid had a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, flowering time, harvest time, number of fruits per plant and fruit weight. Humic acid 1 g produced the tallest plants, largest stem diameter, faster flowering and harvesting age, the largest number of fruits and the largest fruit weight which was not significantly different from fulvic acid 1g.en_US
