Iron intake in preschool-aged children is crucial, as iron deficiency can lead to anemia, which is characterized by symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, pallor, and impaired concentration. Prevention of iron deficiency in preschoolers can be achieved by consuming foods rich in iron, such as chicken liver and legumes. This study aims to analyze the effect of providing nuggets made from chicken liver, mung beans, and mocaf flour on hemoglobin (Hb) levels in preschool-aged children. The research design employed was a quasi-experimental design with a total sample of 42 participants, selected using purposive sampling. Bivariate data analysis was conducted using the Kruskal-Wallis and Wilcoxon tests. The results showed a significant effect of the chicken liver, mung bean, and mocaf flour nuggets on hemoglobin levels in preschool-aged children in Tanjung Morawa District. A significant difference was found between group one and the control group, with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). Similarly, a significant difference was observed between group two and the control group, also with a p-value of 0.001 (<0.05). However, no significant difference was found between group one and group two, with a p-value of 0.662 (>0.05).In conclusion, there was no significant difference in hemoglobin levels between group one and group two. However, significant differences were found between both intervention groups (group one and group two) and the control group.
