Afiks-Afiks Pembentuk Verba Denominal Bahasa Batak Toba: Kajian Morfologi Generatif

Abstract

This thesis aims to describe the affixes and the process that form denominal verbs in the Batak Toba language. This study uses the theory of generative morphology proposed by Halle. This study uses a qualitative research method that is descriptive. The methods and techniques of data collection used are the similan method and the cakap method with the sadap technique. The method and data analysis use the agih method with the bagi elemen or for direct elements, the referential match method and formal and informal data presentation. The results of the study found affixes that form denominal verbs in the Batak Toba language, namely: prefixes {mar-, ma-, i-, and par-}, suffixes { -hon} and confixes {ma + hon, mar +an, ha- + an dan ma + i}, applying a modified Halle generative framework, which includes four main compenets: morpheme list, word formation rules, filter and dictionary.
