| dc.description.abstract | Background: The pharmaceutical industry is a business entity that has obtained
legal authorizationto manufacture drugs or drug substances. All manufacturing
activities must comply with Good Mufacturing Practices (GMP). Pharmacists play
a key role in the pharmaceutical industry since they are required to possess proper
qualifications, knowledge, experience, and skills to ensure that the
implementation of GMP is carried out in accordance with the established
requirements.
Objective: The Professional Work Practice of Pharmacists (PKPA) aims to
provide pharmacy students with an understanding of the roles, functions, and
responsibilities of pharmacists in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as to gain
practical experience in the application of GMP in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
This program also equips students with practical skills and insights in carrying out
pharmaceutical activities in the industry, specifically at PT Dankos Farma.
Sumarry: The PKPA at PT Dankos Farma was conducted from January 2 to
February 28, 2025, with primary placement in the production. In addition,
students were introduced to various other departements through induction and
training sessions. Pharmacists play an essential role in ensuring the quality of
pharmaceutical preparations, from raw materials to finished products. PT dankos
Farma has consistently applied all aspects of GMP, including quality management
systems, personnel, facilities, equipment, sanitation and hygiene,production,
quality control, self-inspection, quality audfits, documentation, validation, and
qualification.
Conclusion: After completing the PKPA at PT Dankos Farma, it can be
concluded that pharmacists are key personnel in the pharmaceutical industry with
responsibilities in production, quality assurance, and quality control. This program
provides pharmacy students with knowledge, skills, and practical experience
regarding the implementation of GMP in the pharmaceutical industry. PT Dankos
Farma has demonstrated consistent implementation of GMP in all aspects to
ensure that every manufactured drugs is safe, effective, and of high quality. | en_US |
