Kecemasan Warga Terdampak Konflik Agraria Kampung BPRPI Tanjung Gusta A Desa Klambir Lima Kebun Deli Serdang: Studi Etnografi
The Anxiety of Residents Affected by the Agrarian Conflict in BPRPI Tanjung Gusta A Village, Klambir Lima Kebun Village, Deli Serdang: An Ethnographic Study
Abstract
Agrarian conflicts often trigger significant psychological impacts on affected
communities, including anxiety that affects their well-being. This study aims to
identify the forms, causes, and coping mechanisms of anxiety among residents of
Kampung BPRPI Tanjung Gusta A, Klambir Lima Kebun Village, impacted by
agrarian conflicts. The research employs a qualitative approach with an
ethnographic method, using data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews,
participatory observation, and live-in fieldwork. The findings reveal four main
forms of anxiety: anxiety related to land legality, trauma from conflict, economic
issues, and internal conflicts between the community and village administrators.
This anxiety triggers symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, restlessness, and stress.
To cope with their anxiety, residents adopt strategies such as participating in
spiritual activities, pursuing hobbies, and focusing on work to earn a living as a
diversion from land-related uncertainties. This study provides insights into the
psychological impacts of agrarian conflicts and community coping strategies,
contributing to the development of relevant interventions to support the well-being
of affected communities.
