Implementasi Sensor GPS NEO-6M Terintegrasi Google Maps API dan ESP32 pada Sistem Website Navigasi Rute Angkutan Kota Medan Sekitarnya
Implementation of the NEO-6M GPS Sensor Integrated with Google Maps API and ESP32 for a Website-Based Navigation System for City Transportation in Medan and Its Surrounding Areas
Abstract
This study successfully implemented a website-based navigation system for the city transportation routes (angkot) in Medan and its surrounding areas by utilizing the NEO-6M GPS sensor, the ESP32 microcontroller, and integration with the Google Maps API. The system was designed to provide route information for five angkot routes (120P, 64, 99, 23, and 103) along with real-time vehicle positioning. GPS data is transmitted via the ESP32 to a MySQL database through an API integrated with a Laravel backend and is then visualized on the frontend using the Google Maps API. Test results demonstrated high accuracy in GPS coordinate readings, with an average error of 0.54% for the ESP32 and 0.4% for the GPS sensor. The website successfully displays route information, physical images of the angkot, and a live tracking feature, complemented by instructive error handling and a user-friendly interface. This system is an effective solution for user-friendly, accurate, and real-time angkot navigation.
