Analisis Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi Tanaman Jagung serta Keuntungan Akhir Petani Jagung di Kecamatan Garoga Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of factors that influence the production and final profits of corn farmers in Garoga Village, Garoga District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. This study uses an explanatory research type with a quantitative approach. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. The population of the study is 3,411 farmers, and the sample consists of 64 corn farmers from Garoga Village. Data processing was conducted using SPSS version 22, and analyzed using multiple linear regression, simple linear regression, and moderation regression with interaction method. The results of this study indicate that partially, Fertilizer and Pesticide have a positive and significant effect on Maize Crop Production, while Land Area, Capital, Seeds, and Labor do not have a significant effect on Maize Crop Production. The analysis of costs shows that Seed Costs, Fertilizer Costs, Pesticide Costs, and Labor Costs have a negative and significant effect on the final profit from maize farming. Production partially has a positive effect on farmers' final profit. Meanwhile, the Selling Price and the interaction of Y1*Z are significant as a moderator for the relationship between production and profit. With a positive interaction coefficient, the selling price not only moderates but also strengthens the relationship between production and profit. Production partially has a positive effect on the final profit of maize farmers. Maize production has a positive and significant effect on profit.
