dc.description.abstractNurses’ performance is one of the key indicators in determining the quality of healthcare services in hospitals. One of the factors influencing this performance is the leadership style of the head nurse. This senior practicum aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing a transformational leadership style by the head nurse in improving nurses' performance in the Mahoni-Meranti inpatient ward. This practicum utilized a case study approach by implementing transformational leadership interventions over a two-week period, which included observation, discussions, and interviews with the head nurse and staff nurses. A simulation or trial of transformational leadership implementation was then carried out in the Mahoni-Meranti ward. The core components of transformational leadership include inspirational motivation, idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Evaluation results showed improvements in work enthusiasm, active participation, and nursing staff satisfaction with the work environment. The shift in leadership style from democratic to transformational proved effective in creating a more collaborative, productive, and innovative work atmosphere. This senior practicum is expected to serve as an effective alternative for the sustainable application of transformational leadership in nursing management.en_US
